The BBC says it will drop two of its radio stations and pare back its Web spending as part of a wide-ranging revamp at the 88-year-old media giant. The BBC announced that it would close its 6 Music and Asian Network radio stations, aimed at alternative music audiences and Britons of south Asian descent respectively. The broadcaster said it would also cut the number of Web pages it hosts in half and reduce spending by 25 percent.
